Maybe a New Adventure?
Look out The Apprentice, step aside Amazing Race, get out of my way American Idol. What could make me say these things about these shows? I am applying for the next PBS reality series. The series is Texas Ranch House based on the same premise of it's predacessors Colonial House and Frontier House. http://www.pbs.org/wnet/ranchhouse/index.html
My mom and I are going to try out for the show. It would require a 5 month commitment and wearing traditional 1867 clothing in Texas from June through October. Can I hear the word HOT??? Everyone I talk with thinks I'm crazy but I am actually excited. I know that there is not a chance of being picked but what could it hurt? I love animals. I am used to Texas.
If we get picked it might mean that our lighthouse vacation is off. Not sure which I would rather do. Why can't I be independently wealthy?

I always wonder about the Spanish conquistadors in their armor looking for the Seven Cities of Gold. Didn't they feel like baked potatoes in Reynolds Wrap? Excuse me, but were they chewing coca leaves or something? This state is not really suitable for human habitation.
