So in preparation for the Africa trip, it seems that you must go through a battery of immunizations. After a series of 3 hepatitis shots, a yellow fever shot, pills you must take to prevent typhus and malaria, I think I'm just about ready to go.

One of the suggestions we have received is "don't drink the water, don't eat any raw vegetable (remember that I'm a vegetarian), and don't eat fruit that you haven't peeled yourself". Its premise is that you simply put it into water and the water becomes safe to drink!! When sending an email to my mother if she thought it was worth the investment, here's what she had to say...
